About Us

We are John and Kristianne Fernau. We come from completely different backgrounds (unchurched farm kid in the U.S. vs. pastor's daughter in the Philippines), but are united in our love for God and our desire to help others.

During the pandemic, we helped to provide food to the hungry in the Philippines. When we ran out of funds, we asked friends on Facebook to help, and they did. People were fed. People were blessed.

It was good, but not sustainable. We needed to find another way. We went to the Lord in prayer, and out of that came what would become the Living Word Project, a way to help people to share their faith, and a way for us to help people in need, both physically and spiritually.

This has been a 3 year journey, from inception to the delivery of our first shirt. 3 years of prayer, work, and doubt. Starting something like this is scary. We want to provide a quality product that people will love, that will bless both those who wear it and those who see it. We are going to make mistakes. As much as we will try to avoid it, it's bound to happen. All we can do is the right thing, and make things right if and when we mess up. We ask for and appreciate your grace as we take this next step.

Mission Statement

Sharing our faith by helping others share theirs.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:15-17 NIV
